Onsite Medical Services
CHM provides a full array of onsite medical services from receiving screenings and inmate health assessments to medication administration and management.
Mental Health Services
A successful mental health program is critical for every facility. CHM is a leading private provider of mental health services for both adult and juvenile correctional populations.
Dental Services
When it has been determined that an inmate needs dental care, CHM will ensure the inmate is managed under dental protocols and the direction and supervision of a dentist. Dental services include instruction in oral hygiene, examination and treatment of dental problems.
Utilization Management
CHM has an effective and comprehensive utilization management program designed for the correctional environment. We follow Milliman Care Guidelines® as screening criteria to review the medical necessity of offsite appointments and length of stay for inpatient hospitalizations.
Reintegration Program
The CHM reintegration program is evidence-based and focuses on teaching inmates the necessary life skills in order to prevent relapse and recidivism. The program assists inmates in planning for and achieving a successful transition to treatment and other services they will need when they return to the community.
Pharmaceutical Services
CHM has established a preferred medication list used in the facilities we support. Criteria utilized for inclusion of medications to the preferred medication list are based on a criterion of evidence based effectiveness, safety and cost of the medication. CHM also has developed policies and procedures for use of any products that are not on the preferred medication list.
